Week 2
Week 2 and I am feeling really great. Met with my trainer yesterday and I can't believe how much easier (ok not easy but easier...I didn't think I was going to die) the weights and workout felt. It is amazing to me that your body finally says, ok I guess I am on board with this whole new workout thing. I hope every week I can see improvement and that my body will become stronger and more fit each time I workout. Now as far as eating goes that has been a bit more of a challenge. The "servings" idea of thought is causing me a little bit of stress to be honest. I do ok counting calories but the "servings" have me all messed up, I am sure it will get better with time, hopefully! However I must be doing something right because I am down 3lbs this week, yippeee!! Motivation for this week, right!?!?!

Breaking up is hard to do....
I have decided that it is time to ditch my sweets for fresh and light fruits and veggies. I know it doesn't sound like the most fun thing or even the easiest thing to do. However that behavior coupled with my lack of activity has gotten me where I am today, and I don't necessarily like where I am right now. As far as exercise goes this has been going fairly well, it's the snacking that kills me. I keep thinking that because I worked out it should be fine to have a little treat when truthfully I have just undone what I worked so hard to do on the treadmill. So even though I love my sweets it is time to say goodbye for the next 100 days!!
Today I meet with my trainer and I am so excited to get some direction on what to do and how to do it!!!

The New Challenge Begins!!
Today was day 1 of the 100 Day Heart Challenge through IHC. What great people we have the opportunity to work with I am so excited for the knowledge they can share with me and the difference I can make in my heart health with their help!!! Today we were poked, weighed and tested, to say the least my blood pressure was a bit high! It was so much fun to meet all of the contestants in this years challenge. I look forward to getting to know everyone better as we work together to become more physically fit!!
